Bauhaus Lighting

I’ve always loved how Bauhaus design pushes for pure function while still feeling unmistakably artistic. There’s a clarity to it — clean geometry, honest materials, and the kind of lighting that feels like it was engineered rather than decorated.

Most Bauhaus-inspired lamps I come across today still carry that same spirit. Metal tubes, opal glass spheres, decisive lines… nothing unnecessary, nothing ornamental. It’s design that doesn’t try to seduce — it simply works, and that’s precisely what makes it beautiful.

While browsing recently, I found a selection of fixtures that capture this balance really well. If you're curious, you can explore them here.

I’ll keep adding notes on specific pieces as I go. Bauhaus is one of those styles I never get tired of revisiting.
